Instructors

Lindy Chiles (Owner/Instructor)

Lindy Has over 27 years of experience in dance.  Within those years she has studied Ballet, Lyrical, Modern, Street Dance, Hip Hop, Jazz, Cheer/Pom, and Tumbling.  Lindy has received many awards for outstanding student and was named student of the year in 1995, 1997, and 1998.  She was on an All-Star Competition Dance Team for four years during her high school years.  After high school Lindy continued to study all styles of dance in Marysville, Ohio for two years.  She then took a job as an instructor for Team Spirit (a competitive cheer clinic) in 2003, where she instructed in cheer stunting, tumbling, and choreography for their routines.  Lindy has successfully co-owned and instructed at two dance studios and is very excited to branch off on her own with L&L Dance Company.  Lindy’s greatest passion is teaching dance and sharing the love she has for dance with others.

Brett Meadows (Instructor)

This is Brett’s 10th year teaching Dance and Tumbling.  Brett attended a tumbling school in Bellefontaine, Ohio for nine years and was on a competitive team for seven of those years.  He then studied dance in Bellefontaine, Ohio for three years and instructed an all boy’s Hip Hop class.  Brett also performed in the Orange Bowl Half Time Show in 2011 and was pictured in Bowl Games of America Magazine.  He attended Master Classes in New York City.  Brett’s natural ability and passion for dance is undeniable.

Missy Johnson (Instructor)

Missy comes to us with over 20 years of experience in teaching Ballet, Tap, Lyrical, Jazz, and Tumbling.  Throughout her years of teaching she has taught everything from 2 year olds to competition routines to special needs classes.  Several of her students have gone on to be professional dancers.  She has taken classes for training all over the U.S.  Missy believes that dance is an outlet for a lot of children and it should be a positive experience for them to feel important.  She has been married for 25 years and has 2 daughters.

 

DJ Cockerell (Instructor)

DJ comes from a long history of performing arts. Introduced to dance at the age of 10 DJ quickly developed a lifelong passion for it and later on entered into competition dance. DJ competed in countless competitions earning numerous awards throughout they years in solo, duo, and group routines. After graduating high school he danced professionally for Matt Davenport Productions, Anita Mann Productions and Stiletto Entertainment. In between contracts he continued to Choreograph routines for competition dancers and local shows. Now as a husband, father, and Youth Leader for his Church, DJ is blessed to be returning to teaching at our studio.  Philippians 4:13

Abby Phipps (Instructor)

Abby has competed and danced for 5 years.  Abby currently works at a daycare teaching preschool and school age children and is pursuing a bachelors degree in social work.  Abby has always had a passion for music and teaching children and is extremely excited to combine the two.

Brooke Schnipke (Instructor)

Brooke is a new instructor this year but has danced from age 2 through age 20! She has taken jazz, tap, ballet, lyrical, and pointe.  Brooke recently graduated from Mount Vernon Nazarene University and is excited to be back in the area.

Jessica Schroeder (Instructor)

Jess Schroeder has 28 years of experience in dance. She has studied Jazz, Tap, Ballet, and Tumbling for 18 years.  Jess also has over 10 years years of experience working with school aged children.  Jess loves sharing her passion of dance with her own 3 girls and all the students. Jess is happily married with 3 beautiful girls and lives in Wapakoneta.

Brittany Hamilton (Instructor)

Brittany has over 15 years in dance and 19 years in tumbling experience.  She was involved in competition teams and competed with Team Spirit throughout her high school career.  She also cheered and tumbled in college at Wright State University.  Brittany performed in two Orange Bowl halftime shows.  She is excited to share her love and passion for dance and tumbling with her students.  Brittany has received her medical massage therapy license.

Lauryn Craig (Instructor/Assistant)

Lauryn has had 10 years of dance experience and she loves to dance!  Lauryn participated in the Orange Bowl halftime show and attended many dance workshops taught by well known choreographers.  She has taken lyrical, jazz, hip hop, bollywood, lyrical-hip hop, and performed several solos and a duet.  Lauryn is excited to expand her dance career and learn many new things in the years to come.  Being able to teach has brought her so much joy and the students really grow on her.  She loves to help them and watch them grow every week.  Lauryn plans to dance and study dance in college.  Lauryn believes dancing is great for the soul and has helped her grow as a person.

Grace Jolly (Instructor/Assistant)

Grace has been dancing and tumbling for 15 years, 7 of those competitively.  She has competed in Acro, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop, and Contemporary dances.  While competing her solos, she has achieved convention scholarships and was a Title Award winner.  Also Grace has choregraphed multiple competitive dances in different styles.  She is a new teacher, but has assisted in many classes for 6 years.  She has a strong passion for dancing and choregraphing and plans to continue expanding her dance career in the future.

Isaac Chiles (Office Manager)

Isaac does not dance!  Isaac served in the United States Army after high school for 4 years and then attended college in Arizona where he obtained his associates degree in Business Management.  Isaac returned to Ohio to continue his education and obtained his EMS and Fire certification and currently works full time as a Police Officer in Bellefontaine.
